Maintenance Supervisor Opportunity

Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited is a leading dairy processor on the island of Ireland, with a complex and ambitious business model. The company operates modern dairy manufacturing facilities across 8 locations, supplying a broad customer base globally.

The company's Agribusiness Division operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility, providing high-quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across Ireland.

The Role

The successful applicant will lead and manage the maintenance team to support delivery of site and departmental key performance indicators. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring rapid response to equipment breakdowns;
  • Completing planned and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment productivity and minimize costs;
  • Ensuring all engineering activities comply with standard operating procedures, including health and safety and food hygiene/safety;
  • Leading day-to-day engineering operations onsite;
  • Actively promoting the company's OX programme;
  • Providing technical support for shift teams.
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, with relevant practical and supervisory experience in a similar role. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Strong people-leadership capabilities and ability to build and develop a team;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workloads to meet challenging deadlines;
  • Track record of delivering continuous improvement in technical and food safety standards;
  • Previous relevant experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment;
  • Relevant engineering qualification.
