Gibson Search is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead our team of experts in providing protection solutions for material handling vehicles and equipment operating in hazardous areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 4 expert Managers to meet business objectives of cost, on-time delivery, safety, quality, and competitiveness.
- Work effectively with the Management team to drive operational success.
- Cover EHS, Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure all activities operate effectively and in compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
- Define business unit-specific performance KPIs to monitor operational success against overall business objectives.
- Support implementation actions, instigate and lead projects to ensure continual improvement and productivity using best practice and lean principles.
- Carry out appraisals, reviews, and produce training and development plans to ensure a high-performing team.
Requirements:
- Experience of managing Operations in a low-volume, engineering, or manufacturing industry.
- Sound understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering, ideally with a technical qualification.
- Strong financial and business-related experience, including commercial appreciation.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance in a manufacturing environment.
