Jefferson Wells, a prominent provider of advanced microscope solutions, is in search of a skilled Project Buyer to enhance their global Supply Chain Management (SCM) team.

In this pivotal role within the SCM team, you will contribute significantly to establishing a competitive edge for Jefferson Wells by collaborating closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, challenge, and influence the strategic direction of the designated product line concerning market-relevant purchasing aspects.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive project supply chain strategy in partnership with internal teams.
  • Engage actively in project and product line steering committees.
  • Facilitate effective communication between external suppliers and internal teams.
  • Negotiate procurement terms and contractual agreements.
  • Conduct thorough problem analysis, devise structured solutions, and make prompt decisions, including effective escalation management.
  • Oversee the comprehensive scope of Supply Chain processes, including SAP-based RFQs and purchase orders, monitor order confirmations, and ensure material availability.
  • Manage Engineering Change Management for assigned product lines and projects.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Genuine interest in high-technology and crafting customer-centric solutions.
  • Proven team player with exceptional communication abilities.
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and methodical approach to work.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Procurement, and/or Project Management.
  • Proficient in handling extensive data sets, with a talent for summarizing and presenting information in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
