Job Title: HSE Manager

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to drive health, safety, and environmental compliance on our FMCG manufacturing facility based in the North West.

Job Summary

The HSE Manager will form a crucial part of the senior leadership team and will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures, conducting regular safety audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with all relevant HSE legislations, providing HSE training to staff, investigating any HSE incidents, and reporting on HSE performance to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislations
  • Provide HSE training to staff and maintain training records
  • Investigate any HSE incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Report on HSE performance to senior management
  • Manage relationships with external HSE bodies and stakeholders
  • Reduce sites waste and environmental impact
Requirements
  • Professional HSE qualifications, ideally NEBOSH and IMEA
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry (food advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and standards
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation
  • A strong understanding of UK/EU Health, Safety & Environment legislations within a manufacturing environment
