As a Management Accountant at Chris Eastwood Automotive Ltd, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance to senior managers and monitoring the financial performance of each department. Your primary goal will be to maintain a sound financial foundation for the dealership, ensuring compliance with Group Accounting Directives and effective management of company funds and assets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely dealership accounts, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor cash flow and budgetary position of all departments on a weekly/monthly basis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
- Maintain robust credit control and accounting procedures, ensuring the integrity of financial data and systems.
- Collaborate with other managers to develop and implement financial strategies, driving business growth and profitability.
- Prepare annual budgets in conjunction with departmental managers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and submission to Head Office.
- Submit Weekly Operating Controls to Head Office, providing timely and accurate financial information.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and ensure timely payment of monthly PAYE to the relevant authorities.
- Review payroll output and maintain an up-to-date company asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Regularly review new and used vehicle stocks, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
- Lead the finance department personnel and vehicle administrators, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
- Prepare and submit monthly dealer composites to manufacturers, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Requirements:
You will be skilled in the Autoline Kerridge system and have previous motor retail experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent communication and leadership abilities, are essential for success in this role.
