Site Agent Opportunity

We are working with a national civil engineering contractor that operates across various sectors, including water, energy, and environmental. They have secured a long-term framework in the Welsh region to maintain and upgrade lean and waste water assets, requiring an experienced Site Agent to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Lead and manage all aspects of civil engineering projects, focusing on water-related infrastructure. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, adhering to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Site Supervision: Oversee construction activities on site, including subcontractor management, resource allocation, and scheduling. Maintain a safe working environment and enforce health and safety protocols by SMSTS regulations.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders. Coordinate meetings, provide progress updates, and address any issues or concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and rectify deficiencies as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate and inspire project teams to achieve performance targets and deliver high-quality results. Provide guidance, training, and support to site staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare accurate and timely reports, including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records in compliance with company procedures and contractual requirements.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Site Agent or Site Manager on civil engineering projects, preferably within the water sector.
  • Valid SMSTS certification is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on water infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
