Develop creative design solutions for precision machinery and electro-mechanical systems, utilizing your expertise in design principles and engineering practices.
Technical LeadershipLead a small, multidisciplinary project design team, providing technical guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality design solutions are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Design DevelopmentOversee the development of designs in SolidWorks software, utilizing 3D CAD to create detailed designs and models.
Analysis and TestingLead and collaborate with the team in conducting classical engineering analysis, including stress, fatigue, and vibration analysis, to ensure designs meet performance and safety requirements.
Quality AssuranceCarry out laboratory testing to confirm that design outputs match design inputs, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Reporting and DocumentationTake charge of organizing and creating engineering reports to support failure analysis, new product designs, and other official paperwork required to meet client needs.
Collaboration and SupportWork closely with larger engineering groups to incorporate drive, control, and electrical systems into equipment designs, and provide assistance to the field engineering, test, and production engineering teams.
Project Management and Sales SupportAssist project management and sales teams in providing design activity time estimates and monitoring progress, and help the sales team in creating quotes, proposals, and other sales collateral.
Manufacturing and FabricationRecognize and apply procedures for casting, fabrication, moulding, and machining, and possess familiarity with a 3D CAD program, preferably SolidWorks.
Leadership and ManagementHave the capacity to oversee workload and design output while leading a project design team's technical efforts, and possess experience working in the Defence or related sectors, particularly in R&D and manufacturing.
