The Position

GAP Group Limited is a leading provider of lifting equipment and services, with a strong presence in the UK market. Our team is responsible for managing and scheduling the Test, Inspection, and Certification of lifting and working at height equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test lifting equipment to ensure it meets industry standards and regulations
  • Repair and maintain lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Conduct proof load testing of equipment such as runway beams, davit sockets, swing jibs, and lift shaft eyes
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the selection and use of lifting equipment
  • Collaborate with the TIC team to maintain the hire fleet and provide bespoke solutions to lifting-based queries

About You

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Lifting Equipment Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience working within the lifting equipment industry with excellent product knowledge
  • Multiple LEEA qualifications, including advanced programs such as Runways & Crane Structures and/or Overhead Travelling Cranes
  • Manufacturer and industry training, such as CSCS, IPAF, Confined Space, Working at Height, PASMA, etc.
  • Competence in accordance with LOLER
  • IT literacy and a valid driving license
