About the Role

This is a key position within City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd, responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations.

As an Area Site Technician, you will be the first point of contact for all maintenance issues, working closely with the Helpdesk to assess and resolve technical problems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurate and up-to-date.

You will also be required to respond promptly to service call requests, prioritizing maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete PPM schedule within agreed timescales
  • Respond to service call requests and assess technical problems
  • Prioritize maintenance and repair work
  • Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs
  • Follow purchase order process
  • Identify non-repairable faults and advise Line Manager
  • Ensure compliance documentation is up-to-date
  • Advise on-site customer of repair and maintenance issues
  • Carry out surveys and complete reports as required
  • Complete general repairs and maintenance
  • Attend training courses as necessary
  • Comply with Health and Safety Policy
  • Represent the company in a professional manner

Requirements

  • GCSE/Standard Grade level or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance
  • City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent
  • 3-phase electrics and its applications
  • Ability to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Quality of repairs and maintenance
  • Speed and efficiency of work
  • Response to service call requests
  • Achievement of PPM schedule
  • Maintenance of Health and Safety policy
