Job Title: Senior Contract Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Officer to join our team at Allen Lane. As a Senior Contract Officer, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of investigations and enforcement processes, including appeals. You will take ownership of complex cases, ensuring decisions are made in line with published KPIs and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a caseload of investigations and enforcement processes, including appeals
* Take ownership of complex cases, ensuring decisions are made in line with published KPIs and regulations
* Collaborate with the team to ensure decisions are consistent and reflect agreed decision-making criteria, regulations, and policies
* Identify and address issues arising from work, submitting written reports as necessary
* Provide advice and support to other team members as needed
* Lead on projects related to investigations and enforcement

Key Skills and Experience:

* Qualified barrister, solicitor, or FCILEX (or equivalent)
* Experience of legal procedures or litigation
* Substantial experience of casework
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and supporting other members of staff
* Knowledge of regulatory procedures and/or experience of working for a regulator is desirable
