Automotive Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team at Steer Automotive Group in Ayr. As a key member of our repair process, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of vehicle damage and providing accurate repair estimates.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting thorough assessments of vehicle damage and providing accurate repair estimates.
- Liaising with customers, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient resolution of issues.
- Utilizing technical expertise to identify repair requirements and develop comprehensive repair plans.
- Providing exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with clients.
- Keeping detailed records of assessments, estimates, and repair progress.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or similar role in the automotive repair industry.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle repair techniques, including familiarity with various makes and models.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for estimating and assessment purposes.
- Attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate and thorough assessments.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g. ATA VDA accreditation) would be advantageous.
