Job Description

Themis Recruit is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Housing Solicitor to join our client's dynamic legal team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload involving various aspects of social housing law, providing expert legal advice and representation to registered social landlords, housing associations, and tenants.
  • Assist members of the Social Housing Team in managing a caseload that includes defending disrepair claims, handling county court possession claims, and preparing injunction applications, particularly in cases involving tenant antisocial behaviour.
Requirements
  • Any experience working with Housing Associations or Local Authorities is welcome but not essential.
  • Excellent computer and technical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to use discretion.
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach to team work.
  • A flexible, highly motivated, proactive, and can-do working style.
  • Self-motivated, ability to use initiative, and provide proactive support to the Social Housing team.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and check own work.
  • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise, make decisions, and work effectively within a sometimes pressurised environment.
