**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Water Quality and Environment team at Severn Trent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring the delivery of high-quality water services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regulatory sampling plans for wastewater and water quality monitoring.
- Manage the day-to-day workload of two Waste Water Monitoring Advisors.
- Forecast spend in respect to the OSM and UWWTR Sampling and Analysis Contracts.
- Provide advice and interpretation on waste water monitoring requirements to internal stakeholders and engineering consultants.
- Lead the Environment Agency's and Natural Resources Wales annual Operator Monitoring Assessment (OMA) Audit.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the water industry regulatory arena, environmental regulations, and environmental management systems.
- Experience planning and delivering regulatory sample plans for wastewater or water.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload.
- Experience in use of MS Office tools (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
- Relevant experience in an environmental discipline, e.g. environmental chemistry, hydrology, hydrogeology, water management, or similar.
