Job Title: Qualified Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Permanence Team in Oldham Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and families.

About the Role

As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with a co-located multi-agency team to provide effective communication and service delivery.
  • Responding to contacts made to the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) promptly and identifying appropriate services to support and safeguard children and families.
  • Communicating with families, partner agencies, and the public to gather detailed information and ensure strong, evidence-based decision-making.
  • Understanding statutory social worker functions and making informed threshold decisions confidently.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Social Work Degree or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Proven experience in Children's Social Work
