We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Hays Accounts and Finance. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing and reviewing management and statutory accounts, as well as assisting juniors with their work.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review management and statutory accounts
- Assist juniors with their work, including completing VAT returns and bookkeeping
- Liaise with partners and seniors daily to ensure the success of the team
- Work with clients to create and maintain relationships and identify new opportunities within the client base
- Have exposure to audit work, reporting into the partner, assisting on audit files, and offering advice and guidance
- Previous experience working for an accountancy practice for a minimum of 3 years
- ACCA or ACA qualified, or finalist in qualifications or qualified by experience
- Experience and competence in utilising accounting software's such as Xero, Sage, or Quickbooks
- Desirable experience leading a team, training juniors, or reviewing work, as well as prior experience on an audit
In return, you will be offered a competitive salary ranging between £30,000 to £40,000, dependent on experience, as well as the opportunity to be part of a well-renowned firm with plenty of opportunities to progress and develop. If you are a finalist in your qualifications, a generous study package will be offered, covering the exam and training materials and time off for your exams and studies. Flexible working hours will be offered, along with a bonus holiday scheme, company and social events, and your birthday off. Other benefits will be offered upon employment.
