Job Title: Advanced Learning Disability Physiotherapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Learning Disability Physiotherapist to join our team at Central London Community Health Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and autonomous assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans for clients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Participate in the assessment process, performing overview assessments and complex specialist assessments as required.
- Order and manage moving and handling equipment relevant to rehabilitation needs.
- Communicate relevant medical information, assessment details, advice, and recommendations across agencies and with clients in compliance with trust guidelines for sharing of information and informed consent.
- Gain valid, informed consent for assessment, treatment, and sharing information in compliance with legal and professional guidelines.
- Interpret and follow guidelines in circumstances where patients do not have the capacity to provide informed consent.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Experience working with clients with complex needs, including learning disabilities and frailty-related conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines related to consent and information sharing.
