Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Staff Partners Mental Health. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop tailored care plans.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Provide emotional support and counselling to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and any changes in condition.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions on patient care and treatment strategies.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethical practice.
Requirements:
  • Valid registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and its relevance to mental health conditions.
  • Proven experience in patient care within a mental health setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care plans.
  • A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their experiences.
