Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Validation Engineer to join our Signal Integrity Products (SIP) group at Semtech Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing laboratory-based RF testing and validation of automotive LiDAR chipsets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans for new automotive products, ensuring compliance with FuSa ISO-26262 process.
- Collaborate with designers, product, test, and applications engineers to drive test feature development and validation.
- Lead the validation solution development for new products, including software, hardware, and documentation.
- Identify and recommend bench-top test equipment for validation of new products.
- Generate test equipment automation software using Python or Labview.
- Participate in new product design meetings and drive test feature development.
- Own validation review meetings and create validation reports.
- Perform NPI activities, including PCB design, RF simulation, documentation, optical component selection, and system-level testing.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in a relevant engineering degree with at least 7 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent team-player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Automotive systems engineering, SysML modelling, Enterprise architecture, Matlab, and Simulink is desirable.
- Experience with Automotive Functional Safety is desirable but not mandatory.
