Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at TimePlan Education. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Assist small groups of SEN students within the classroom, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement personalized learning plans and strategies to support student development, working closely with teachers and other support staff.
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students with SEN.
  • Monitor and record student progress, adapting your support as necessary to ensure students achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a supportive and positive learning atmosphere, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is highly desirable, as is a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the educational development of students with SEN, with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
