About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Product Development Manager to lead our New Product Innovation team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious food products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and launch new food products that are nutritionally beneficial, delicious, and convenient.
  • Collaborate with our commercial team to understand new briefs and ensure they can be achieved.
  • Work closely with production teams to run trials and overcome production hurdles.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing products and implement changes to reduce costs, improve ingredients, or enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal international teams to transfer products into the UK market and adopt new technologies to achieve results.

Requirements:

  • Food Science degree and concept through to launch experience within the UK food and drink industry.
  • Previous food manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Experience within a complex food category, such as chilled convenience, ready to eat, or processed meals.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of influencing, energizing, and nurturing a team.
  • Knowledge of the latest food trends and ingredients, as well as a knowledge of nutrition.
