About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Specialist to join our team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to victims of domestic violence and abuse, working closely with our experienced safeguarding team.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver domestic violence and abuse agenda and processes across the Trust
  • Work within a multi-agency framework, including MARACs and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
  • Provide one-to-one support to patients who have experienced domestic violence or abuse, prioritizing those at medium to high risk of harm
  • Complete risk assessments and safety plans, agree referral and care pathways, and provide appropriate support as required
  • Signpost patients to a range of services and arrange meetings with other agencies as necessary

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Either Registered Nurse, AHP, Social work or IDVA experience
  • Demonstrable experience in working with and supporting people who are victims of domestic abuse
  • Experience of planning and delivering domestic abuse training
