Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and promote a strong health and safety culture across all levels and with subcontractors.
  2. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations.
  3. Review and assess documentation and safe systems of work from subcontractors.
  4. Contribute to the development of health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
  5. Lead and deliver health and safety initiatives and training programs.
  6. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  7. Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Relevant professional qualifications in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH/NCRQ).
  2. A proven track record as a Health and Safety Advisor in the construction/civil engineering industry.
  3. In-depth knowledge of current health and safety legislation and regulations.
  4. Experience in accident and incident investigation and analysis.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  6. Proficiency in IT and a valid CSCS Card.
