Job Title: Sales & Service Director

About the Company: Universal Business Team is a leading firm of accountants and tax advisers with over 45 years of experience, specialising in helping small to medium-sized businesses grow, maximise profitability, and implement top-tier tax planning strategies.

The Role: As the Sales & Service Director, you will be instrumental in achieving the company's ambitious growth target of 25% year-on-year over the next three years. Leading the sales, marketing, and business development teams, your primary goal will be converting new business opportunities into confirmed sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Oversight: Develop and execute sales, marketing, and business development strategies to drive business growth and expansion.
  2. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and support the sales, marketing, and business development teams to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to achieve their goals.
  3. Performance Monitoring: Regularly review and report on sales metrics, ensuring targets are met and identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with key intermediaries and third parties to enhance referrals and brand awareness, and to identify new business opportunities.
  5. Tax Team Support: Ensure tax project opportunities are maximised and targets are achieved, and provide support to the tax team as needed.
  6. Pipeline Management: Rigorously follow up on all potential clients to meet ongoing client targets and ensure a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.

Skills & Attributes:

  1. Proven track record: A proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets, with a strong commercial acumen and professionalism.
  2. Experience: Experience in B2B sales, particularly in professional services, with a strong understanding of the industry and market trends.
