Position Overview
The Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Emergency Nurse to join our esteemed team in the Accident & Emergency Department. This role is pivotal in providing 24/7 senior oversight and support to our Emergency Department staff.
The ideal candidate will become an integral part of our band 7 leadership team, guiding and directing the operations within the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exemplary nursing care consistently by effectively managing personnel and resources within the assigned area.
- Serve as an advocate for the Emergency Department, collaborating with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in a structured rota alongside fellow Band 7 nurses to guarantee that a qualified nurse is available at all times for clinical guidance and professional support.
- Facilitate training and educational initiatives by coordinating with relevant personnel to address the developmental needs of nursing staff in the clinical setting.
- Assume ongoing responsibility for the management of the department, including the oversight and mentorship of nursing staff.
