About the Role

Care & Custody - A Mitie Company is seeking a qualified nurse or paramedic to join our team in a unique and challenging role. As a Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, providing high-quality care to detainees in custody suites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional care to detainees in custody suites, working alongside the Police to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Work in a team environment, covering custody suites 24/7 to ensure the safety of detainees.
  • Participate in a rolling rota pattern, working fixed shifts, including day and night shifts.
  • Develop and maintain clinical, forensic, and wider skills, with opportunities for career progression.
Requirements
  • Qualified nurse or paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field, such as General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, or Ambulance Service.
  • Driving Licence and UK residency for 3 years or more.
  • Subject to Police Vetting.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary of £20,000 per year.
  • £500 bonus after completing 12 months of service.
  • Part-time role with fixed shift working, including day and night shifts.
  • Average estimated overtime of £3500 per annum.
  • NMC/HCPC Registration paid.
