Role Overview:
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the teaching and evaluation of students in the Animal Centre.

As an Animal Care Instructional Technician, your dedication to enhancing the student experience and maintaining high educational standards will be paramount.

Your responsibilities will include planning, instructing, and supervising students during practical learning sessions conducted in the Animal Centre.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engaging in promotional activities to enhance the College's visibility and attract sponsorships, fostering positive public relations and increasing student enrollment.
  • Collaborating with support services to ensure students receive the necessary assistance.
  • Participating in various functions, including curriculum area meetings, employer/parent events, and promotional activities as needed.
  • Coordinating daily operations within the learning environment, which includes preparing and maintaining resources and ensuring cleanliness.
  • Implementing and upholding health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and reviewing safety policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to course evaluations and the development of new resources and action plans.
  • Monitoring equipment and preparing plans for replacements as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Level 2 Qualification in a relevant subject area
  • Level 2 in literacy and numeracy, or a commitment to achieve this
  • Level 3 Qualification in a relevant subject area
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
