Job Title: Senior Legal Advisor - Investment Management

Job Summary:

The Stephen James Partnership is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our team. As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our investment management clients. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading investment management firm and contribute to the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support to investment management clients on a range of matters, including fund structuring, commercial agreements, and corporate support.
  • Manage all legal aspects of the fund and product structuring process, including negotiating and reviewing agreements with service providers and clients.
  • Act as an important advisor to the investment desk on appropriate fund and management structure.
  • Assist with transactional activity, such as reviewing shareholder agreements and managing co-investment transactions between funds and accounts.
  • Proven experience gained PQE in private/alternative investment funds team at a leading city firm or within an asset management firm.
  • Understanding of a range of private funds and investment structuring (including Luxembourg structures) across different private asset classes.
  • Experience with regulated fund structures such as LTAF, ELTIF, and other structures for private assets will be beneficial but not essential.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in private/alternative investment funds team at a leading city firm or within an asset management firm.
  • Proven track record of providing high-quality legal advice and support to investment management clients.
  • Strong understanding of private funds and investment structuring, including Luxembourg structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
