The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Specialist Dentist to join our Community Dental Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care to patients with special needs, providing clinical leadership, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver dental services within the GWHFT Community Dental Service contract, ensuring high standards of clinical care and patient satisfaction.
- Provide clinical leadership to the local dental team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and supervise Foundation Dentists, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the role.
- Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team and oral health promotion staff to provide comprehensive dental care to patients.
- Meet personal performance targets, focusing on clinical activity and management tasks.
- Provide line management for Band A dental officers, including absence monitoring, supervision of leave, and annual appraisal.
Requirements
- Experience in delivering dental services to patients with special needs.
- Strong clinical leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
