Job Title: Physical Education Teacher

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our team at New Directions Holding. As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Physical Education to students in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and possibly Key Stage 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach all areas of Physical Education, including team sports, individual sports, and physical fitness
  • Organize the classroom and learning resources to create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to all student ability ranges
  • Motivate students with enthusiastic and imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of students' development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within the Physical Education curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the Physical Education curriculum
  • Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly, particularly in smaller schools

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • In possession of a clear DBS with the update service and registered with the EWC
  • Passion for raising student expectations and achievements
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils
  • Ability to remain up to date with educational developments and changes
