Spire Liverpool Hospital is seeking a dedicated Business Administrator to join our Business Office team on a full-time and permanent basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity to be part of a vibrant team and contribute significantly to our operations.

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the efficient management of hospital billing services and to perform essential financial processes in line with established protocols. You will be tasked with providing timely and courteous information to patients, consultants, and other relevant departments.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all billing activities are executed promptly and accurately, adhering to Spire procedures while identifying and resolving billing issues. Address billing inquiries by coordinating with Central Finance as necessary. Foster and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and exercise discretion regarding all patient, consultant, and staff information. Manage the provision and receipt of patient information, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act and Spire policies. Generate daily and monthly reports and take appropriate actions as per specified instructions. Engage in training and development to enhance skills and knowledge for effective role performance. Undertake additional duties that reasonably align with the general responsibilities of the position. Comply with organizational and local infection prevention and control policies and procedures. Fulfill personal responsibilities as mandated by health and safety regulations.

Qualifications, Training, and Experience

Essential Criteria

A solid educational background with proven literacy and numeracy skills. Proficient in processing financial and administrative transactions accurately and methodically. Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. Capability to establish and sustain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Confident telephone communication skills, able to engage with a wide range of customers.

Desirable Criteria

Proven track record in a similar role within a busy office or customer service environment. Familiarity with medical terminology. Understanding of the healthcare sector. Basic knowledge of SAP.
