We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Underwriting Manager to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of construction risks and developing strategies to drive growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of construction risks, including underwriting, pricing, and risk assessment
- Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability in the construction market
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, risk management, and sales to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior underwriters and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to inform underwriting decisions
- Proven experience in construction underwriting, with a strong track record of managing complex risks and developing successful underwriting strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong technical knowledge of construction risks and underwriting principles
