Accounts Payable Manager

Savant Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join its busy finance department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading a team and managing accounts payable functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring all processes and procedures are adhered to.
  • Manage, supervise, and coach the AP team.
  • Process or ensure the team processes suppliers' invoices and credit notes.
  • Ensure correct allocation of supplier invoices and complete ageing reports.
  • Manage supplier reconciliations.
  • Manage the accounts payable mailbox and address vendor queries.
  • Manage employee expense processes.
  • Involved in the payment of supplier runs and work closely with the Treasury team to ensure compliance with the Group's payments policy.
  • Maintain supplier data in Netsuite.
  • Prepare month-end reports.
Requirements:
  • A highly motivated leader with a positive personality and tenacity.
  • Previous experience of managing Accounts Payable functions.
  • At least 3 years of relevant senior accounts payable management experience.
  • Experience in managing teams of 5-10 team members.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, Sumif, pivots, macros).
  • Experience in accounting software, preferably NetSuite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence all levels of the organisation.
  • Resilient, determined, willing to 'go the extra mile'.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
