About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our Student Services Team at Richard Taunton Sixth Form College. As a Student Welfare and Safeguarding Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering student welfare and providing dedicated support to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional pastoral care and support to students, acting as a role model and mentor in times of need.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance student wellbeing and safeguarding, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide intensive pastoral care and support, addressing complex challenges that may impact students' academic journey.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Safeguarding and Prevent strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in roles requiring intensive pastoral care and safeguarding, with a strong track record of delivering excellent outcomes.
  • Expertise in Safeguarding and Prevent strategies, with a deep understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the college.
