Are you a seasoned Cost Consultant with expertise in capital delivery frameworks within a leading contractor environment? Do you have a solid background in managing claims, both upstream and downstream? Our client, a prestigious design and build contractor in the water and wastewater sector, is looking for a Lead Cost Consultant to join their vibrant team.
Your role will encompass principal contractor responsibilities on significant projects within the water sector.
With a framework extending for several years, this is an opportunity to engage in innovative projects that are shaping the future of the water industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee multiple schemes and projects with a total value of approximately £100 million, primarily delivered through subcontractors.
- Work in a supportive environment with a Graduate Cost Consultant to assist on assigned projects.
- Enjoy the flexibility of remote work for two days a week, while maintaining a minimum of three days in the office.
- Contribute to planned works and align with forecasted timelines, particularly within the water sector.
- Foster a collaborative team culture focused on career development and effective pressure management.
Build and maintain sustainable business relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Commercial Support:- Provide commercial assistance for procurement activities, contract and subcontract administration, valuations, and final accounts.
- Ensure workload targets and deadlines are met, delivering commercial reports in a timely manner.
- Offer legal and contractual guidance, identify and mitigate commercial risks, and support commercial resources as necessary.
Prior experience in the water sector is highly desirable.
