This position reports to
Production Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this capacity, you will have the chance to enhance the Production organization's assembly techniques, workflows, and machinery to reduce labor hours in alignment with business strategies concerning quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure suitable production methods, cycle times, equipment performance, and materials/components to support production objectives. You will also demonstrate your expertise by outlining the sequence of operations for a new production process to meet the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. The work model for this role is: Onsite. This role contributes to the Electrification, Smart Buildings - Leeds Site. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and proposing enhancement opportunities and executing improvement projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, quality, and cost requirements.
• Approving designs for processes developed internally or externally and conducting final tests concerning the project.
• Supporting Production during the internal/external process/equipment initiation, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production personnel.
• Assessing new process technologies to boost productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider selections.
Qualifications for the role
- Strong background in implementing lean methodologies within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing and process enhancements.
- Ability to enhance testing through automation of products.
- Familiarity with PPM within a manufacturing context to ensure safe and efficient operations of equipment.
- Proven track record in lean methodologies / 6 Sigma.
- Exposure to cutting-edge technology in Electrification and a tangible impact on the future.
- Utilize your knowledge and expertise to make a difference in technology.
