Main Responsibilities

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Manage compliance with all indirect and direct tax matters across the organisation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and minimising risk.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, line manage and provide day-to-day support to the tax analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Process Improvement: Lead strategic improvement to the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and controls to support tax operations, driving business efficiency and productivity.
  • Relationship Building: Build and manage relationships within the organisation to ensure that all taxes are considered in business projects and initiatives.
  • Tax Strategy: Develop and implement a sound tax strategy that aligns with the organisation's goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Professional Qualifications: Possess a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CTA or similar).
  • Senior-Level Experience: Hold significant post-qualification tax experience at a senior level within a large, complex environment.
  • Leadership and Delivery: Demonstrate a strong track record of leadership and delivery at a senior financial level, with experience of leading and managing teams to deliver excellence.
  • Professional VAT Experience: Possess substantial professional VAT experience.
