Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Stannah Homelifts in Andover. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and electro-mechanical systems for our homelift products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical/electronic hardware designs for safety-critical applications
  • Create hardware documentation to maintain traceability and ensure stakeholder requirements are met
  • Conduct practical laboratory tests of designs, supporting the Test and Development team
  • Support the Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMEA) process
  • Use Product Safety Hazard Analysis to assess product safety
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Rapid Prototyping and Material selection criteria for steels and metal manufacturing techniques
  • Understanding of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for component levels
  • Experience in producing technical drawings to a BS8888 quality standard
  • Experience in design and development of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, preferably with safety-critical elements, machinery design, Sheetmetal and fabrication, motor and gearing applications, mechanisms, and machine reliability
Qualifications and Skills:
  • HNC/Degree (or equivalent) in engineering related to electrical engineering
  • Proficient use of Solidworks
  • Knowledge of Product Data Management (PDM) systems
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
