Job Title: Night Team Leader

As a Night Team Leader at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Estates department. Your primary responsibility will be to lead, motivate, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring the effective use of labour and materials to provide an efficient maintenance service for our Estates assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement policies and propose changes to practices for the Engineering and building maintenance practices.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the information/operational requirements of the computerised maintenance management system are completed/followed by staff under their control.
  • Records sickness, absence and annual leave information for Estates Management. Day to Day management of in-house maintenance staff and external contractors.
  • Undertakes Estates condition surveys and audits as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Post graduate/diploma or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through courses and experience in construction or engineering subject.
  • Professional Knowledge of a full range of trade procedures acquired through a 4 year accredited training course on required equipment level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent plus relevant training or equivalent experience, plus additional training and developed skills e.g. pneumatics/hydraulics.
