Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Multiskilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Watts Farms. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistent availability of high-quality fresh produce to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and purchase fresh produce and dairy products from New Covent Garden Market to fulfill customer orders.
  • Ensure the quality, quantity, and cost of products purchased meet business requirements.
  • Operate a Counterbalance FLT to load vehicles with purchased products.
  • Deliver products safely and efficiently back to our site at Aylesford.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to ensure accurate and efficient purchasing processes.
  • Report daily to the Procurement Manager and Operations Team regarding purchasing shortfalls or shelf-life concerns.
  • Complete purchasing records accurately, including goods receipt notes, traceability, and quality assessment records.
Requirements
  • UK Driving license is essential for this position.
  • FLT license is desirable, but full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make confident decisions.
  • Trustworthy and self-motivated with a high attention to detail.
  • I.T literate, intermediate MS Office (Word/Excel) skills.
  • Previous experience in fresh produce is preferred but not necessary.
Working Hours

Working 18:00–04:00, 5 nights per week on a rota basis.

Watts Farms is a third-generation family-run farming business, established in 1952. We are growers, packers, and distributors of fresh produce, supplying the hospitality industry across Kent, London, and surrounding areas. We also offer a Home Delivery service, providing freshly picked fruit and vegetables from our own farms, as well as a full range of grocery, dairy, alcohol, and pantry goods.
