Job Title: Compliance Analyst (Insurance)

Location: London

Duties:

  1. Conduct thorough client due diligence checks to determine the required level of due diligence.
  2. Streamline the onboarding process for new customers by ensuring all necessary information is collected.
  3. Verify that all relevant documents meet regulatory and legal requirements through a comprehensive KYC review.
  4. Maintain compliance with AML/KYC regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  5. Report any suspicious activity to the compliance department in a timely manner.
  6. Utilize Sanctions & Regulatory Checking database to identify potential reputational or sanction-related issues.
  7. Escalate 'High Risk' cases from due diligence and sanctions activities to management for further review.
  8. Provide day-to-day guidance on policy application and interpretation to the business, including customer due diligence requirements.
  9. Support specific departmental projects as needed.
  10. Adhere to company and regulatory policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a Due Diligence/KYC/Compliance environment within the London Insurance Market.
  2. Proficiency in sanction checking software.
  3. Understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements.
  4. Experience with the technical tasks listed under key responsibilities & accountabilities.
  5. Strong IT skills and ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
