Job Title: Compliance Analyst (Insurance)

Location: London

Duties:

  1. Conduct thorough client due diligence checks to determine the nature and level of due diligence required.
  2. Facilitate the onboarding process for new customers, ensuring seamless integration into the company's systems.
  3. Verify that all necessary information is contained in the KYC review of documents to meet regulatory and legal requirements.
  4. Ensure compliance with AML/KYC regulations, internal policies, and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
  5. Report any suspicious or unusual activity to the compliance department, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  6. Utilize Sanctions & Regulatory Checking database to identify potential reputational or sanction-related issues.
  7. Escalate identified 'High Risk' cases from due diligence and sanctions activities to management for prompt attention.
  8. Provide expert guidance on policy application and interpretation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  9. Assist with specific departmental projects as required, contributing to the company's growth and success.
  10. Adhere to company and regulatory policies, procedures, and mandatory training requirements, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.

Experience:

  1. Previous experience within a Due Diligence/KYC/Compliance environment within the London Insurance Market.
  2. Proficiency in sanction checking software and ability to leverage its capabilities effectively.
  3. In-depth understanding of regulation and legislation requirements, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  4. Experience with the technical tasks listed under key responsibilities & accountabilities.
  5. Strong IT skills and ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
