Lead Commissioning Manager

Sygna is seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Commissioning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning management team, you will be responsible for the execution of commissioning management on one or more projects, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commissioning process on multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead and manage a team of commissioning engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality commissioning services.
  • Ensure compliance with Sygna's health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of excellent practices and procedures for the operation of the business.
  • Assist the Divisional Director with bidding for new opportunities, including technical and schedule input to the bid document, and presenting in post-tender interviews.
  • Provide regular project progress reports to the Senior Management Team (SMT).

Project-Related Information:

  • Manage the delivery of commissioning plans, ensuring that they are followed and completed on time.
  • Attend and chair meetings with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of commissioning services, including the compilation and issue of weekly progress reports to clients.
  • Advise on programming commissioning-related items and complete commissioning programs as required.
  • Assist the Divisional Director in recruitment within the sector.
  • Compliance with Sygna's health and safety standards on all projects.
  • Forecast labour requirements for projects and inform the director of any changes needed.
  • Lead the Cx Review of design information related to projects under the CxM's control.

Financial:

  • Assist the Divisional Director in achieving forward order booking to ensure a sustainable business.
  • Be aware of the minimum gross margin on all projects, agreed with the Divisional Director on a project-by-project basis.
  • Continuously maximize opportunities and minimize risks on all projects, influencing project margin.
  • Ensure proper order placement of all subcontractors in accordance with company procedures and best practice.
  • Maintain a relationship with all external consultants/Clients for future win-work opportunities.
  • Highlight any risk before it occurs, wherever possible, to the Divisional Director.
