About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Cat C driver to join our team as a Winter Maintenance Driver. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our winter maintenance services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive a Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle on allocated routes and undertake associated activities, including washing down the vehicle and equipment, fuelling up, and keeping good records.
  • Be on standby throughout the winter maintenance season, with good time keeping essential.
  • Undertake the gritting of roads and associated activities to deliver the Winter Service.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe and efficient winter maintenance service.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 (category C) entitlement and a full CPC is essential.
  • A valid Winter Maintenance qualification is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for suitable applicants.
  • The ability to get to the designated depot within 1 hour's notice.
