About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Ecological Consultant/Marine Biologist to join our Ecosystem Solutions team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality ecological assessments and reports, providing technical advice to clients, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake marine biology assessments and produce high-quality reports
  • Liaise with regulators and stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental legislation
  • Assist with the management of small to medium-scale projects, with input on large-scale projects as required
  • Engage with Ramboll project managers, clients, partner organizations, and sub-consultants to deliver technical work on complex projects
  • Contribute to the development of fee proposals and client communications
  • Assist with resource planning and contribute to the growth and development of the Ecosystem Solutions team

Requirements

  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management
  • Appropriate BSc or equivalent qualification (MSc in a relevant environmental discipline is highly desirable)
  • Capable of producing clear and concise deliverables to a high technical standard
  • Highly organized and able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines
  • Good knowledge of relevant environmental/ecology legislation
  • An understanding of the UK planning system in relation to development and the integration of ecology
  • Proficient user of MS Office software and ideally ArcGIS
  • Full clean UK driving license
