Position Overview
SF Recruitment Limited t/a SF Group is collaborating with a remarkable not-for-profit entity seeking to appoint a Financial Strategy Partner who will work closely with the Head of Finance. This role is situated within a dynamic and adaptable organization that promotes a nurturing atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and sustain a strategic partnership with budget managers for designated business sectors as outlined by the Head of Finance.
  • Foster and uphold cooperative relationships with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Pinpoint opportunities for cost efficiencies to enhance operational effectiveness and optimize financial returns.
  • Establish a robust framework for identifying risks and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate them effectively.
  • Oversee the preparation of SoRP compliant monthly financial statements in collaboration with the management accountant.
  • Assist in the formulation and development of annual budgets and forecasts in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Analyze financial outcomes and deliver insightful commentary to senior management.
  • Evaluate key departmental performance indicators against established targets.
  • Recognize underlying business challenges and aid in executing improvement strategies to address subpar performance.
  • Ensure the provision of precise and timely financial data, management accounts, and other financial reports on a monthly basis for the supported areas.
  • Challenge identified discrepancies with budget managers, promoting the creation of corrective action plans.
  • Scrutinize all facets of direct and indirect costs, providing meaningful analysis on variances from budget and forecasts.
  • Supervise the credit control and accounts payable functions.
  • Assist in managing overdue accounts receivable exceeding 90 days, utilizing collection agents when necessary.
  • Oversee bi-weekly payment processes to ensure timely payments to creditors.
  • Ensure that all necessary procedures are in place for an efficient month-end close for sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Provide support for sales and purchase ledgers as needed, including coverage for absences.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to continuously assess the efficiency of financial systems, processes, and reporting, identifying and implementing agreed enhancements.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Finance as required.
  • Perform any other ad hoc tasks necessary to support the achievement of business objectives.
