Role: Sales Engineering Manager

We are in search of a candidate with a solid technical foundation and prior sales experience to enhance our UV-curable business across Europe.

This position presents an exciting mix of challenges, a dynamic work atmosphere, and the chance to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. You will be instrumental in nurturing existing client relationships while driving the expansion of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the organization in its strategy to expand within the European market
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients, understanding their requirements, addressing inquiries, and delivering exceptional service
  • Proactively identify new clients in the European market
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Conduct market research and analysis to pinpoint potential growth areas, customer needs, and emerging opportunities
  • Support the tracking of sales performance, analyzing key metrics, and preparing regular reports on sales activities and revenue forecasts
  • Create company presentations and assist in delivering them to potential and existing clients
  • Collaborate with formulation and research teams to produce technical presentations
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, networking with key stakeholders and promoting the company's offerings
  • Continuously assess and enhance sales processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct visits to clients, distributors, and suppliers as necessary

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B sales, technical sales, or raw materials sales (3-5+ years), with strong business acumen
  • A solid background in Chemistry (e.g., 1st/2:1 BSc/MSc from a reputable institution) and technical proficiency in this field
  • Understanding of UV-curable technology (e.g., Photoinitiators), along with knowledge of raw materials and downstream industries (coatings, inks, paints, adhesives, etc.)
  • Able to conduct market analysis, marketing, and sales planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high interpersonal competence and negotiation abilities
  • Capable of producing and assisting in the presentation of client-ready materials
  • Proficient in English, comfortable with technical terminology and documentation
  • Highly skilled in using technology (laptops, phones) and Microsoft software (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP software
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe to meet clients as required
  • Occasional travel to the Leeds head office may be necessary

Desirable Attributes:

  • Direct experience in the UV-curing market or a background in coatings, inks, or paints
  • Masters or PhD in Chemistry

The interview process will consist of multiple rounds, with the first round conducted via a virtual meeting platform, followed by in-person interviews for subsequent rounds. We aim to provide feedback to all candidates who progress to the first round.
