We are looking for an individual with a proactive attitude, capable of taking initiative and making timely decisions.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Data entry and maintenance of our Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Providing customer service and correspondence
  • Assisting with routing the company fleet and subcontractors to optimize workload
  • Developing cost-effective transportation solutions
  • Liaising with drivers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure job completion and satisfaction
  • Communicating job status updates and late arrivals to customers in a timely manner
  • Booking vessel berthing slots for vehicles to collect containers

This role requires the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience with TMS systems, such as TOPS, and knowledge of shipping containers, driver hours, and transportation regulations would be beneficial.

A strong understanding of UK geography would be advantageous.

This position involves working closely with the traffic team and other departments to meet daily transportation needs.

Core office hours with rotational out-of-hours work on evenings/weekends may be required, shared among the team.

This role reports directly to the Transport Manager.

Salary is negotiable based on experience, with a competitive holiday entitlement and pension scheme offered once the probationary period is completed.
