Fire Project Surveyor Opportunity

MMP Consultancy is seeking a dedicated Fire Project Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our Fire Improvement Works team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with statutory duties, regulations, and policies.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Fire Project Surveyor to assist the Senior Fire Improvement Works Project Manager in overseeing the delivery of active and passive fire improvement works across all our client's properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent our client by delivering exceptional customer service, managing complaints, and ensuring a positive experience for all residents.
  • Partner effectively with the Building Services, Health and Safety, and Housing teams to address issues that arise during project delivery.
  • Assist in the inspection of our client's properties to scope and specify fire improvement works in alignment with block fire risk assessments, Fire Safety Standards, and framework contracts.
  • Continuously monitor and inspect fire improvement works, ensuring they meet the specified standards, use certified materials, and are completed to a high quality.
  • Conduct Health and Safety checks during site inspections to ensure that both statutory and our client's requirements are upheld by contractor operatives and work practices.
  • Provide support to the Fire Remediation Team in inspecting and coordinating fire remediation projects when required.
  • Carry out post-work inspections to facilitate the handover of completed projects for monthly valuations.
  • Review and authorise work variations within your delegated authority, or escalate them to the Senior FIW Project Manager.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all variations on the Keystone Planned Maintenance module, ensuring value for money through effective financial control.
  • Ensure that the Keystone Planned Maintenance module is actively used for the management and tracking of all fire improvement works, and update it following the completion of each project.
  • Work closely with our client's Housing's fire works and maintenance contractors to develop and deliver high-quality services.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000p/a + Benefits, as well as a flexible working arrangement that allows you to work from home for approximately 2-3 days per week. We also offer an optional 9-day fortnight scheme, which allows you to compress your hours into nine days and enjoy a bonus day off every fortnight.

Location

The role is based in Walton on Thames, Surrey, with flexible working arrangements available.
