About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Visual Arts Specialist to join our team at Alexandra Park Children's Learning Community. As a key member of our educator team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful running of our nursery.
Our Approach
Our pedagogical approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, combined with our Storal Curriculum, providing a unique and meaningful early years education. We believe in creating a nurturing environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in our children.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement visual arts programs that promote creativity and self-expression in children.
- Collaborate with the educator team to plan and deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Provide opportunities for children to explore various art languages and mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and more.
- Work closely with children to identify their interests and talents, and provide guidance and support to help them develop their artistic skills.
- Contribute to the development of our Storal Curriculum, ensuring that it remains relevant and effective in meeting the needs of our children.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in early years education.
About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about visual arts and early years education. You will have:
A Level 3 or above qualification in early years education or a related field.A minimum of 6 months experience as an Early Years Educator or working with children under the age of 5.Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and our Storal Curriculum.Working knowledge and experience in the arts, including music, art, design, film, or photography.A personal interest in the disciplines of the arts and a commitment to lifelong learning.Demonstration of Storal values in all interactions.What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £25,584 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications, plus a £500 Welcome Bonus (pro-rata for part-time hours, conditions apply). You will also receive:
