About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Visual Arts Specialist to join our team at Alexandra Park Childrens Learning Community. As an Atelierista, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of creative experiences for children, infusing arts teaching and learning in all areas of the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement visual arts programs that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in children.
  • Work closely with the educator team to ensure the successful running of the nursery, promoting a Reggio Emilia-inspired and Storal Curriculum approach.
  • Provide opportunities for children to work on extended projects, explore various art languages, and learn to express themselves.
  • Promote social interaction, collaboration, and reflection among children and team members.

About You

  • Level 3 or above qualification within early years.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or with children under the age of 5.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
  • Working knowledge and experience within the Arts.
  • Qualification in music, art, design, film, or photography.
  • Personal interest in the disciplines of the Arts.
  • Demonstration of Storal values in all interactions.
